Brooklyn Bodega Bingo Game

Brooklyn Bodega Bingo is a fun and educational board game where children “shop” for the delicious foods of Brooklyn by turning over tiles and finding matchers to fill a bingo board. As they fill the board they will collect the ingredients for an ethnic Brooklyn recipe: Falafel, Hot and Sour Soup, Fish Tacos, or Rice and Beans with Plantains. The game can expand to an actual family cooking activity since the recipes are here on the website. All the foods needed for the recipes can be found in a typical Brooklyn Bodega or by ordering from Fresh Direct or Whole Foods from links on the website or the app.

Players have fun learning to take turns, follow rules, and practicing their memory skills while also being exposed to the concept of a recipe, opening their eyes to other cultures and expanding their food choices.
